What Media do I Use?
TV: I often use TV for information like the news, county school updates, the weather, etc. I also use this type of media for entertainment for the following: watching movies, shows to binge, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.
Print: I do not use newspapers or magazines, but I do use books very often. I use them for information purposes for science, history, helping me learn French, and for religious purposes. But I mostly use books for entertainment. I love to read, especially mystery novels, more than watching movies or going on my phone.
Films/Movies: I don’t tend to watch many movies as I usually don’t have time, but when I do I focus on horror movies. I often watch horror movies on Netflix, and Amazon prime, my favorite films being Jeepers Creepers, Scream, and Texas Chainsaw Massare, these films I do tend to binge when I get a chance as they have a film series.
Social media: I use this form of media to keep me from being bored and entertained. I use it to connect with people from my school and surrounding schools. I also use social media mostly for fashion tips and sustainable crafts since it is something I am extremely interested in.
Video Games: I do not play video games other than dresses to impress on Roblox with my friends to troll people. The reason I don’t play video games is I find it a waste of time and tends to lead to overuse of screens that are unnecessary.
Music: I use music every day. I use it to wake up, in the shower, to get ready, on my way to school, walking around school, etc. It is something I use to entertain myself as well as to make me feel more comfortable in my environment.
Radio/podcasts: I only listen to the radio if my car play is not working, and I listen to hot 101.5 Tampa Bay, as it was really funny as they interview random people and have strange conversations. Now for podcasts I listen to a lot, as I listen to them on long drives, on the plane, when I’m working out, etc. The podcast I listen to most is Bailey Sarian most of the time, who talks about dark history and true crime.
