This poster "Killer Queen" for my group's finale film is inspired by many classic horror film posters like Scream, the Shining, and the Thing, as we blended many elements of suspense, revenge, and darkness to the poster. The line." If you can't be the prom queen, then make sure you're the killer queen." Plays on the movie title and the overall theme for the movie, giving the film a chilling tone.
The poster was created through the online website, Canva, a beginner friendly editing platform. To create the look of the poster my group and I took the photo at night in a vacant parking lot at night to have natural lighting as well as we shood under a streetlight to make the photo more dramatic.
The text design used for the title "Killer Queen" was used with a dark red to foreshadow later actions and the elegant, styled font hits at something becoming dramatic in the film later on.
A warm yet dim filter was used to enhance the poster eerie feeling, and suspenseful mood.
