Bloody Sash 

 

This sash was purchased from Target for around $5.55 and was originally a Disney princess themed birthday sash, that we ended up using due to not being able to find an actual prom queen sash. I made this prop look more realistic as I wrote “Prom Queen” in purple ink on the sash to make it stand out and look bolder. I added the blood after we filmed the scene of Roxy killing Alex. How I did this is I had a bowl of fake blood, and I set the sash in let it soaks then I took it out and then took a paint brush to spread the blood around to more it looks more realistic. 

 

 

 

 

 

The Weapon 

 

For the weapon we choose scissors as it was more realistic because who has an axe or hammer in their car? Not me. And scissors are something common you would find in schools, so this is what we decided on. We did use real scissors but to ensure our safety I made sure the scissors were dull and couldn’t cut or hurt us in any way. The way I did this was trying to cut paper, the scissors barely could get through and this was printer paper mind you. I then tried to cut my hair with scissors that scissors were unable to unless it was one singular hair, this proved to me that it was safe to use. We also took other safety measures like when I swing at Alex, I make sure I’m at least 3 inches from her, not leaving anything to chance. I added fake blood to the scissors at the very end of scene three. 

 

The Crown 

 

The crown was from Target as well as it was a Disney princess birthday crown. It originally had a Disney princess sticker on the front which I peeled off as it was not important to keep and would look unprofessional to use it. I added the fake blood to this before the clip of me put the crown upon my head.
